Evaluation- Question 2




Through previous research of looking at the different demographic categories I was able to have a clear understanding on what type of audience I was going to aim my magazine at. For example, It would be pointless to aim my magazine towards an audience that fit the A social grade as not many people would be able to afford my magazine, particularly if younger people would be the ones to mainly buy my magazine, therefore I have targeted my audience at the D/E social class groups because it would be affordable for young people who may not have jobs and only get a small amount of money. In addition to the price of my magazine, I have included a plug on my front cover which says 'Win tickets to see Rita Ora!' This may be appealing for a the D/E categories as this could be an opportunity they don't want to miss out on, especially since the tickets would be free if won. I have aimed to meet this specific target group by linking it with the typical conventions of a pop magazine.
